Future Voters Take Action

September 28 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a drop-in event designed to engage kids and teens aged 5-18 in the democratic process! This event is a fun and educational opportunity for young people to learn about voting and supporting Democrats in a hands-on way.

Activities Include:

  • Crafts: Make fun crafts like friendship bracelets and American flags
  • Learn How to Vote: Explore how voting works, understand the importance of voting, and practice filling out a mock ballot.
  • What Are We Voting On? Discover the offices and issues on the ballot in this election. We’ll break down what each role involves and why it matters.
  • Postcard Writing: Write postcards to encourage people in your community to get out and vote. Supplies and templates will be provided.
  • Meet the Candidates: Meet school board candidates, including Jordyne Blaise and Sam Hershey, and ask them questions about their work and their goals for Wake County.
  • Meet the Teen and Young Democrats: Chat with representatives of the Teen Democrats and Young Democrats of Wake County to see how you can get involved in electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

This event is open to all, but you must register to attend and receive location details. Bring your friends and family for learning, creativity, and civic engagement!
