GOTV in Cary
Join our last push to get out the vote for Cary’s municipal election on October 10th!
Why it matters:
We have an opportunity to flip the Cary Town Council to a progressive majority on October 10th! We’ve been working to make progress in Cary for years, and this is one of our best chances to capitalize on that work.
Cary has an October election date because their town council elections require a voting majority (50% +1) to win outright; otherwise, the top two candidates in each race will advance to runoff elections on November 7th.
Wake Dems is targeting 5 flippable districts this fall: Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, and Wendell. It is absolutely crucial that we avoid an at-large runoff in Cary (and ideally avoid a District D runoff) to free up resources to focus on other municipal elections in November. Winning in Wake for 2023 starts with winning in Cary!
