Rhonda Young

NC District Court Judge
District 10D Seat 04

Rhonda Young - NC District Court Judge District 10D Seat 04

Candidate Statement:

A District Court Judge is responsible for hearing all manner of disputes from individuals across financial, mental, academic, and other diverse spectrums. Regardless of who stands before me, I am committed to applying the law fairly, appropriately, and consistently. As a Judge in Wake County I have been and will continue to be committed to the community and compassionate toward each individual that comes before me.

Importance of this Race:

Republicans have been packing our judicial system for years and trampling on individual rights and fair application of justice. We need to elect good, strong, and fair-minded Democrats to the Superior Courts to protect our civil and individual rights.

Office Responsibilities:

  • North Carolina District Courts hear cases involving civil, criminal, juvenile, and magistrate matters.
  • District Courts are divided into 43 districts across the state and sit in the county seat of each county.
  • They may also preside in certain other cities and towns specifically authorized by the General Assembly and are on the front line of justice for the citizens of NC.
