Candidate Statement:

Decisions that public servants make impact the lives of others. As a criminal prosecutor for over 23 years, Cindy has dedicated her career to protecting and improving the lives of families in our community. Cindy will continue to bring integrity and fairness to Wake County’ District Court.

Importance of this Race:

Republicans have been packing our judicial system for years and trampling on individual rights and fair application of justice. We need to elect good, strong, and fair-minded Democrats to the Superior Courts to protect our civil and individual rights. Cindy Kenney has the experience and integrity to serve on Wake County’s District Court.

Office Responsibilities:

  • North Carolina District Courts hear cases involving civil, criminal, juvenile, and magistrate matters.
  • District Courts are divided into 43 districts across the state and sit in the county seat of each county.
  • They may also preside in certain other cities and towns specifically authorized by the General Assembly and are on the front line of justice for the citizens of NC.
