Sweet Victory and Live Art Auction was a HUGE success!!!
Submitted by Wake County on Tue, 07/27/2010 - 4:27pm.Thank you to every one for coming out on a "Hot August Night"! The desserts were fantastic, House District 36 Candidate Robin Anderson won First place with her Baileys Cream Cake - it truly was quite tasty!
We can't think the artist and volunteers enough for helping to make this such a success and for making it so much fun.
Thank you to Judge Keith Gregory for giving us hours of his time to be the auctioneer and for urging higher bids.
Thank you to everyone - it was a great time and we raised a good amount of money as well to help us achieve victory in November.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BRING A DESSERT- PLEASE COME AND ENJOY YOURSELF WITHOUT BAKING.
BUT, If you do wish to compete in the dessert auction, here are the Guidelines:
•Let Tammy Brunner know by August 4th what dessert you are bringing at admin@wakedems.org or fax to 821.4778
•Please indicate if your Recipe is for the Auxilliary Club or Individual Category.
•Bring two completed desserts – One for the Tasting and One for the Auction.
•Dessert Drop-Off 6:30pm
•Dessert Judging/Tasting 7:15pm – 8pm
•Awards for Club & Individual entries 8pm – 8:15pm
•Art Auction 8:15pm – 9pm
•All proceeds will go to the WCDP Get Out the Vote effort.
House District 40 Rally, meeting and volunteer recruiting
Submitted by Wake County on Thu, 07/29/2010 - 3:28pm.Please join us on August 25th form 5:30pm – 7:30 pm and hear Congressman David Price and Congressman Brad Miller talk about their 2010 campaign and learn how we can send them back to Washington along with Elaine Marshall as our next US Senator from North Carolina.
We have a lot of work to do between now the start of Early Voting on October 22nd.
We'll have representatives from the County Party and from the NC Coordinated Campaign to tell you EXACTLY what we need to do to achieve success.
