12:00 Noon -- Filing Period for Candidates ends

October 8

Beginning date to request an Absentee ballot by mail (No Excuse Required)

Last day to register, change your party affiliation or your

address. The voter registration form must be postmarked by/or hand

delivered by this date. G.S. 163-82.6(c)

October 18

One-Stop Voting Begins. No Excuse Required.

5:00 PM -- Last day to receive absentee requests. G.S. 163.230.1 (a). Exception: for sickness or physical disability, see November 5

November 3

1:00 PM -- One-Stop Voting Ends

November 5

5:00 PM -- All voted absentee ballots must be in the Board of Elections office G.S. 163-231(b)

5:00 PM -- Last day to make a written request in person for voters unable to go to the voting place on election day due to sickness or physical disability. G.S. 163.230.1 (a1)

November 6

ELECTION DAY – 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM
