NORTH CAROLINA POLITICS AND THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS: AN EVENING WITH GARY PEARCE AND CARTER WRENN.
Two of North Carolina’s best-known political operatives and party opposites, Democrat Gary Pearce and Republican Carter Wrenn, will present their views on politics, the presidential elections, and the media on Tuesday, May 13, at Glenaire Retirement Center, 4000 Glenaire Circle in Cary. This event begins at 7:00 pm and is sponsored by the Western Wake Democratic Club. Admission is free and open to the public.
Lets talk about what is too be done in our precincts after the May 6th Primary.... Maybe you had some questions/situations come up during the Primary you would like answered.
What can be expected at the District Conventions on Sat 5/17? What is the June 24th Primary about?
Each congressional district will hold a convention on May 17, 2008. The starting time, between 10am and 2pm, and the location will be determined by the congressional district chair.
One purpose of the convention will be to elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

WCDP Regular Monthly Board Meeting
Rep. Ty Harrell (Dist 41) will moderate a District Dialogue on School Reassignment Tuesday, May 20, from 7:00-8:00pm at the Herb Young Community Center in Cary (101 Wilkinson Avenue). Many constituents and Wake County residents have expressed varying opinions about how we vote for Wake County School Board members - this event will provide a forum for discussion. Wake Senior Democrats will meet at the Crabtree Marriott Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We have a soup and salad lunch. Our speakers will be Mary Ann Baldwin, City Council At Large member and Nancy McFarlane, elected in District A. Mayor Meeker selected these two members to study the water crises in Wake County. Goodwin House Closed for Memorial Day
The AAC-WCDP will have its meetings on the last Tuesday of every month from 6:30p.m. - 7:30p.m. at the Goodwin House, located at 220 Hillsborough St. Raleigh, NC 27603.

Democratic Women of Wake County will meet Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the NC State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough Street. The buffet lunch lines open at 11:30 am with the program starting at 12:00 Noon. The cost of the luncheon is $13.00.
The program will feature the Wake County General Assembly Democratic candidates for the November election.

Targeted to the new precinct officer or precinct volunteer who wishes to organize their precinct, or any precinct democrat who wishes to be more effective in their outreach efforts and help the Wake Dem party turn Wake County Blue!
We are very excited to offer an opportunity to attend a training put on by Jeff Marsocci, the Training Director for the North Carolina Democratic Party. It is focused on answering many of the questions the precinct officer or activist has in regards to voter contact and GOTV efforts, and building up their precincts through volunteer recruitment.
The Wake Democratic Mens Club (WDMC) holds its regular dinner meeting on the second Monday of every month (except July and December) at the Clarion Hotel, 320 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, one block west of Goodwin House.
