The Wake Democratic Mens Club (WDMC) holds its regular dinner meeting on the second Monday of every month (except July and December) at the Clarion Hotel, 320 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, one block west of Goodwin House.

Two of North Carolina’s best-known political operatives and party opposites, Democrat Gary Pearce and Republican Carter Wrenn, will present their views on politics, the presidential elections, and the media on Tuesday, May 13, at Glenaire Retirement Center, 4000 Glenaire Circle in Cary. Each congressional district will hold a convention on May 17, 2008. The starting time, between 10am and 2pm, and the location will be determined by the congressional district chair.

One purpose of the convention will be to elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
