The Senior Democrats of Wake County are meeting for lunch on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Crabtree Marriott. Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The speaker will be Linda McCarley from WakeUP of Wake County. She will be speaking on Transfer Tax. This will be a very interesting subject. We need your input. Unfortunately, Rev. Dr. William Barber will not be presenting the HKonJ report card at the scheduled event this evening. Raymond Shipman Jr., long-time activist and president of the Fayetteville/Cumberland county NAACP, died early this week and Rev. Barber is needed with the family at this time. In his place, Dr. Jarvis Hall will be presenting the report card. Dr. Hall compiled and authored the report card and has detailed knowledge of the progress to date. After his presentation there will be a Question and Answer session to be then followed by a reception with light desserts. | ||
